I’m so happy you’re here to hear our story!

Hi, I’m Rita, and together with my husband Mode, we started Snug Scent. Before this, I spent over five years working in an oil industry lab. Every day, I saw how harmful chemicals affected us, our loved ones, and the environment. It didn’t feel right. Deep down, I knew there had to be a cleaner, kinder way.

I turned to natural products, and the change was incredible. It felt good to use something that wasn’t just “less bad” but truly good – for me, for my family, and for the planet. That’s when my love for natural scents and aromatherapy started. I realised that a scent isn’t just a smell – it’s a mood, a memory, a little daily escape.

But as I explored more, I noticed a problem: many so-called “natural” home scents were full of hidden chemicals and artificial stuff. We wanted to change that.

With my background in chemistry and environmental engineering, and Mode’s expertise in IT, we set out on a mission to create home fragrances that are 100% natural, safe, and genuinely good for you and the planet. We handcrafted each product in small batches in our home lab in Kent, using only pure essential oils, natural soy wax, and eco-friendly materials.

Today, Snug Scent offers candles, reed diffusers, room sprays, wax melts, car air fresheners, essential oil blends, and even bath and body products – all vegan, cruelty-free, and non-toxic. Every product is designed to make your home feel warm, inviting, and calm without any of the bad stuff.

When we’re not in the lab, we’re out exploring nature, cooking new recipes, or enjoying concerts and travel adventures – always with our cocker spaniel, Trixie, by our side. These moments inspire every scent we create, each one a small tribute to nature’s beauty.
